As the 3rd oldest brewery in the beautiful state of Colorado, we strive every day to fulfill our passion of making great beer while doing everything we can to give back to Mother Nature.
Amazing beer and consistent care for the environment go hand-in-hand at our Littleton, Colorado campus.
The vapor condenser in our brewhouse converts steam into water so we can capture and reuse 1,500 gallons of water from every brew (and reduce the energy used to bring that water up to temperature!). An additional water reuse system on our bottle filler vacuum pump has the potential to save over 1 million gallons of water per year.
We completed site assessments with Xcel Energy in 2017 and 2019 to help engineer efficiency improvements such as LED lighting with occupancy sensors throughout our buildings, high speed zip doors on our warehouse coolers, variable frequency drives, and insulated glycol, steam, and product lines.
We run a robust internal recycling and composting program, including sending all spent grain and yeast to a local farmer for livestock feed. We compost any spent hops and use a a baler and banding chipper to improve our ability to recycle cardboard and plastic.
792 solar panels covering 16,570 square feet of our rooftops power 20% of our brewery. That's the equivalent of avoiding 675,500 pounds of CO2 emissions per year!

We are proud to host honeybee hives on the east end of our Littleton campus to provide a safe haven for tens of thousands of bees. By keeping hives at the brewery, we can raise awareness for bees and inspire environmental stewardship.
